Taking Steps To Proper Skincare For The Beach

Exposure to sun at the beach can create wrinkles, blackheads, acne, scaly temples, broken blood vessels and lip sores. Contrary to the popular belief, tanning is not safe for skin and may cause skin burning and skin cancer too. Before you dive into the beach to welcome these unwanted signs of old age, figure out what moisturizer and skincare routines are best for you.

Your skin is more probable to sunburn in the midday heat. Use water resistant sunscreen lotion 20-30 minutes before going to the beach and reapply it after swimming. These sunscreens can last only for 90 minutes so repeat applications for the safer skin. Remember to apply it on dry skin and leave it for a while to absorb the moisture.

Studies show that water acts like a lens and lets the sunlight penetrate deeper into the skin. Use heavier sunscreen if you are swimming in the water. Purchase sunscreens that contain additional moisturizer such as Vitamin E and Aloe Vera. Put on sunscreen even when you are underneath the beach umbrella as the rays can reflect off the beach sand.

Use cocoa butter to re-moisturize the skin and to stop peeling. It can also be used as an eye drop to remove sand particles from your eyes. To stop dried sun burnt lips apply medicated lip protection guard with SPF. Use water resistant eyeliners, mascaras and bronzers for that alluring look in the water. Use summer sunglasses that protect against UVA and UVB rays. Wear hats with wide brims as it provides additional sun protection to your face and hair. Keep yourself hydrated by drinking a good amount of water.

Skin is the largest organ and the most sensitive part of your body. Special precautions and protection should be taken to enhance its beauty. Harmful ultraviolet rays can cause many skin diseases. In a recent survey it states that these rays affect 10 million people every year. As the sun intensifies during the summer, it is more important than ever to prepare your skin, lips and hair to endure these dangerous sunrays, especially while you are on the beaches.
